Why Counseling?
Welcome to Westside Counseling, a ministry of Westside Baptist Church. It is our desire to walk beside you through the challenges you encounter, and to assist you in finding the answers and resources you need to successfully navigate every situation in a Christ-honoring way. At Westside Counseling, we believe in the importance of offering professional counseling from a biblical perspective, offering each person, couple, or family the support they need with the highest standard of care. We value the contributions of evidence-based research and stand firmly on the proven foundation of the Bible.
What to Expect?
Westside Counseling provides a supportive environment where each person is presented with opportunities to openly share problems and concerns, as well as learn new skills to increase contentment, joy, and peace. Each session generally lasts 60 minutes, and homework assignments and/or handouts may be given to reinforce and support what is being learned. The counselor will work with participants to determine the frequency of appointments based on their needs, and participants will always be free to decrease or terminate their counseling at any time. For the safety of participants and staff, there will be additional staff present on Westside’s campus during counseling sessions. When you arrive, you will park close to the front entrance, where you will use the front doors of the sanctuary on the Robertson Road side. You will knock on the door on the far right side, and the counselor will greet you (doors stay locked to protect Kingdom Kids Learning Center).
