Women on a mission to make disciples

About Women's Ministry

Women On Mission

Women on Mission is a discipleship group designed to equip women in becoming active disciples of Christ. We meet on the 1st Sunday evenings of each month.

Some Ways We've Served Our Community:

  • Serving at the Community Kitchen twice a year. (The Community Kitchen serves lunch on Sundays at 12:30pm at First United Methodist Church.)
  • Set goals for Mission Offerings and educate the children of the church about the offerings.
  • Donate paper products to Soup for the Soul
  • Oversee Operation Christmas Child
  • Purchase items to give to our Veterans that attend church
  • Provide food to our Purchase Area Baptist Association International Thanksgiving Meal at the BCM
  • Collect presents for local school systems at Christmas
  • Donate money to anyone going on a mission trip

Sewing Ministry

The Sewing Ministry group desires to use their hands to show the love of Jesus Christ through our homemade items. You don't need any sewing experience to serve in this ministry! We always need help cutting patterns, ironing, etc. Our items have been sent to Guatemala, Haiti, all over the US and locally. We meet during Wednesday night service (except for June, July & December) in Room 24. All supplies are provided.
