EQUIP CLASSES
EQUIP classes are designed to equip and encourage people to grow in their knowledge and application of God’s word to know God more deeply and passionately. They are intended to equip people with biblical truths and practical tools that every disciple needs to know, such as biblical foundations, theology, or Christian living. Our classes are 12-week topic-based classes that allow people to attend a class of their choice. They are designed for people to come and invite others at any point during the semester. Classes are offered in the Fall and Spring.
New Classes begin Sunday, January 11, 2026
9:00 Service Time
The Faith Once Delivered: A Study in Church History (Teacher: Mike Chipman)
Journey from the Resurrection to today as we trace the faith “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3) across twenty-one centuries, applying Scripture to understand how God preserved, shaped, and guided His people. See how the church grew through persecution and renewal, and discover how its story strengthens our hope and discipleship today.
Ephesians: Doctrine and Deeds (Teachers: Shane Osborne & Justin Palmer)
A verse-by-verse study of Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus. The study will focus on Paul’s two-fold purpose: explaining to these new believers the basic doctrines of their faith and how their lives should look as a result.
I & II Peter: Living Hope and Lasting Faith (Teacher: Micah Sugg)
A verse-by-verse journey through Peter’s letters. Hold on to hope in an unsteady world. Explore what it means to live as God’s people—with hope in suffering, holiness in daily life, and confidence in Christ’s return. Grow in grace, deepen your faith, and see how God equips ordinary believers to persevere with joy.
10:30 Service Time
Revelation: The Revelation of Jesus Christ (Teacher: Stacey Cayton)
During this in-depth study, find joy, hope, and a renewed love for Jesus as we examine the blessings, the encouragement, and the warnings of Revelation.
A Journey Through the New Testament (Teacher: Ken Jewell)
The goal is to increase foundational understanding of how the New Testament came to be and why. Participants will gain an understanding of how to read the New Testament in its proper context, increasing confidence in the biblical text and fostering a growing love for Christ and His Gospel. We will focus on authorship, audience, historical context, some key passages, purpose, genre, and structure.
The Gospel of Mark (Teacher: David Eaton)
We will read through the gospel of Mark to discover what the gospel writer says about the Christ. We will pay attention to the literary themes and narrative flow that the gospel writer uses to tell the story. We’ll discover the “Marhan secret,” the importance of “the way” and see how Mark uses foreshadowing to anticipate the fate of the Messiah and his followers. We’ll even learn about “Markan sandwiches” and other keys to getting the most out of the gospel.
